In April, 2018, PanDia CEO Franco Campana, PanDia’s Nicaraguan sales representative Gustavo Flores, and the PanDia country distributor’s head of seed sales Danilo Salamanca lead a field day which included over 80 local onion growers, local store managers and staff, as well as numerous other local seed leaders.

Onion growers were able to see PanDia’s commercial tropical onion line, including Hermosa F-1, Kabuena F-1, as well as other hybrids. Kabuena F-1 exhibited extremely high uniformity, firm bulbs, and an earliness that is a key advantage to this variety. The variety is planned for storage tests in order to compete against imported onions from overseas. PanDia continues to gain market-share, with local grower enthusiasm and a strong local distribution team.

Following the onion field day, numerous commercial and semi-commercial carrots were also seen, including Orange Queen F-1 and Famosa F-1, which are competing well against Bangor and Juliana, and continue to take market-share.

PanDia Seeds is a provider of quality genetics tailored for tropical conditions, and continues to gain market-share throughout the word by providing varieties specifically developed for local conditions.
